Videonor’s cookie policy
Our websites and mobile/desktop apps uses small files called cookies to collect information about you and help us customise your experience. Some cookies are session based, meaning that they will remain in your browser until your visit to the site ends, and others are persistent, meaning that they will remain in your browser for a longer time, subject to the lifetime parameter set for each individual cookie. Videonor uses both session based and persistent cookies.
Videonor also uses a similar mechanism called “Local storage” which is a component of the Web storage application programming interface. It is a method by which Web pages can store information inside your Web browser. Similar to persistent cookies, this stored information exists even when you close a browser tab, surf away from the current website or close the main browser. But unlike cookies this data is not carried to the remote Web server unless sent explicitly by the web page. We use Local storage to remember choices a user has made inside a Web application, and for authentication purposes. Elements stored in browser Local storage is covered by this policy to the extent that the information stored in these elements is communicated back to the server.
This document will provide an overview of which types of cookies are used by our websites and webapps, how they are used by Videonor and/or any third parties, and how to control which cookies are set in your browser.
Cookies used by Videonor’s websites fall into four general categories:
- Essential / necessary cookies
